Palletforce has become the only pallet network to have been awarded the gold RoSPA award for the fourth consecutive year. The UK and Europe’s leading palletised distribution network received the award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) for its approach to health and safety.
Palletforce, which has 100 depots strategically located throughout the UK and linked to a 400,000 sq ft central Hub in the Midlands, has won the gold RoSPA award every year since 2010.
“Once again Palletforce is leading from the front with an unrivalled approach to health and safety and quality standards,” said Michael Conroy, Chief Executive of Palletforce.
“To have achieved this award for the past four years in a row is a phenomenal achievement and is the result of staff working together to keep Palletforce at the forefront of industry.
“Every night thousands of pallets pass through our Hub and an excellent health and safety record is key to ensuring the smooth flow of operations.”
Health and safety is paramount throughout Palletforce’s operations and the next generation of professionals is also being trained in its importance through the network’s Fork Lift Truck Driving Academy where the subject is given top priority.
“It is fantastic to have the hard work of everyone at Palletforce recognised with the gold RoSPA award and we will continue to strive for excellence in this area,” said Ryan Birchnall, Health, Safety, Quality and Facilities Manager at Palletforce.
Palletforce received its gold award at the RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2013 at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel on Thursday, May 16.
“RoSPA firmly believes that organisations that demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement in accident and ill health prevention deserve recognition,” said David Rawlins, RoSPA’s Awards Manager
“Palletforce has shown that it is committed to striving for such continuous improvement and we are delighted to honour it through the presentation of an award.”
