As the countdown continues to the return of the Mondello Truck Show in seven weeks time, (20/21 July), the uniqueness of the two-day event comes to the fore in that the on-track action is never seen or heard at any other show of its type in Ireland.
The hugely successful shows held at Mondello Park in the past had a programme full of on-track action alongside the truck displays, trade stands and competitions and the re-established event will not fail to disappoint.
Entertainment and excitement is assured with a selection of the top trucks from the British Truck Racing Championships taking part in a number of demonstration races over the two days. Big name drivers from the FIA European Series will also participate in their 1000hp+ MAN TGS racing machines. Also on the race card will be a number of competitors from the UK Pick-Up Truck Championships headlined by top Irish contender David O’Regan from Cork in his Fleet Transport backed Ford Ranger for the Pick-Up Truck versus Racing Car challenge. Additional track activities including a round of the Irish Time-Attack Championship, the Courier Challenge to find Ireland’s fastest courier company and the popular Stop & Go Challenge for tractor units on the main straight.
