Leading trailer company TIP Trailer Services UK has confirmed that it has secured a 5 year deal with Cheshire-based haulier Francis Transport (Northwich) Ltd to replace 30 of its existing 4 year old curtainsided trailers. The order from Francis Transport involves TIP supplying 30 brand new SDC13.6m, high roof trailers that will be operational from various locations in Northwich, Wigan and Milton Keynes.
The 30 trailer deal has been funded through TIP’s successful TEF (TIP Equipment Funding) programme, with 20 of the trailers having the livery of Francis Transport, and the remaining 10 trailers being in the livery of one of its main customers, ALPLA.
The relationship between TIP and Francis Transport goes back many years with TIP funding all the company’s replacement trailers in recent times. As John Crisp,TEF Sales Director UK & Ireland,TIP Trailer Services says, “Francis Transport and TIP has worked closely on this long-term fleet replacement programme and, by using our proven TEF funding relationships, we have been able to structure the ideal trailer replacement solution for them.”
All the new SDC curtainsided trailers have an internal height of 3.1m and these high roof trailers are involved in the distribution of high-volume packaging products for a range of contracts with various customers.
In total, family company Francis Transport now run a fleet of 80 dry freight trailers and 30 tractor units.
