The recent CV Show at the NEC in Birmingham proved to be a huge success for vehicle bodybuilder, Coolertech Ltd. The company, which designs and builds insulated vehicles ranging from small car-derived vans, through to 26 tonne rigids, exhibited in conjunction with Mercedes-Benz dealer, Rossetts Commercials. Three Mercedes temperature-controlled vehicles were on display; two insulated box bodies and one insulated panel van conversion.
The exhibition provided Coolertech with the perfect opportunity to showcase its recently-launched AiroSprint range on a 3.5 tonne box body. Designed specifically for the Mercedes Sprinter chassis cab, the AiroSprint features a narrower, more streamlined body – complete with lightweight body styling kit – which follows the lines and width of the vehicle’s cab. This driver-friendly vehicle is perfect for home shopping operations and will help minimise the risk of accident damage through tighter delivery routes.
Coolertech’s second exhibit, a 7.5 tonne FUSO Canter 7C15 Eco Hybrid with lightweight body, attracted a great deal of attention. The single compartment, chilled specification box was designed with a number of weight-saving features, such as the refrigeration unit and rear frame and step assembly, for example, which help the truck gain a favourable payload.
Also on display was a Mercedes Sprinter Euro VI refrigerated panel van, illustrating Coolertech’s van conversion capability. The dual compartment, multi-temperature conversion features Coolertech’s low-temperature, right-hinged, side door. When opened fully, this wrap-around door sits flat against the side of the panel van, providing clear and safe personal access to the load compartment, as well as permitting the loading and unloading of metric pallets.
In addition to the innovative designs and inherent benefits of a Coolertech vehicle, the company also provides a ten-year construction warranty on its new insulated products, as standard. Furthermore, its products are supported out in the field by its nationwide on-site bodywork repair service.
The middle day of the show brought some extra interest and excitement to the stand, when Alex Lowes, the current British Superbike Champion, joined the team. Alex, currently competing in the Superbike World Championship with Voltcom Crescent Suzuki, was joined by team manager, Paul Denning. The pair chatted with fans and visitors to the stand, signing autographs and having photographs taken with them alongside the Voltcom Crescent Suzuki GSX-R1000 bike also on display.
