Palletforce has kept its recording-breaking run of RoSPA awards alive by gaining a gold medal award thanks to its excellent commitment to health and safety.
The palletised distribution network, based in Burton-upon-Trent, received the prestigious award from the Royal Society of the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) making it the only pallet network to win for five years consecutively having previously won gold awards from the organisation.
“To win the gold award with RoSPA for the fifth consecutive year is testament to our commitment to be the best and is a tremendous achievement for everyone at Palletforce. It really helps us consolidate our position as the number one quality express pallet network,” said Michael Conroy, Chief Executive of Palletforce.
“Health and safety is vital in our industry, particularly as we handle nine million pallets per annum throughout our UK and European operations. Having excellent health and safety procedures in place means we can keep ourselves at the forefront of the industry.”
RoSPA is a registered charity concerned with promoting safety and the prevention of accidents at home and in the workplace, and its awards are given to organisations who demonstrate excellent health and safety working practices and are seen as role models to others in their industry. Palletforce has been recognised by the charity as leaders in health and safety every year since 2010.
“Our latest RoSPA award is a fantastic recognition of the hard work of all the staff at Palletforce and is extra special as it’s our fifth consecutive one. I have no doubt we can go on and achieve number six next year,” said Ryan Birchnall, Health, Safety, Quality and Facilities Manager at Palletforce.
Palletforce has one of the largest distribution hubs in Europe, and now has over 100 depots in its UK network. It is a member-owned organisation which means quality transport companies who join receive an equity share in the network, thus sharing in its continuous success.
