BRS Ltd, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of commercial vehicle contract hire solutions, has supplied 12 new Renault Range D Euro 6, 6×2 R 320to B&Q for its trade operation, TradePoint. The Renault Range Ds are additions to the TradePoint fleet and will complement the existing vehicles and service contract provided by BRS Ltd.
BRS is a long-term partner of B&Q’s TradePoint and the new Renault dropside vehicles, complete with rear-mounted cranes, will be used to deliver building materials from TradePoint’s building hub direct to sites across the UK. The Renault Range Ds are part of a full service contract with BRS which includes the vehicles, drivers and management.
Trevor Culpin, TradePoint’s Marketing Manager, explains why the company opted for Renault Range Ds: “At TradePoint our customers are looking to save both time and money, so that means we have to be on the ball with deliveries; we need a vehicle that can carry the load, manage deliveries quickly and efficiently and allows drops into those difficult areas on site. In short we have to be totally reliable but flexible too. We believe that the new Renault vehicles do this for us and in their new TradePoint livery they give us a brand to stand out too. Each one is a genuine advert for our brand.”
Trevor continues: “The Range Ds will be delivering building materials such as bricks, blocks, sheet timber etc direct to site from our store building hub. Most orders are for next day delivery so time is often tight and not wasting time on drops is a vital part of our offer.”
Graham Scholes, Operations Director, BRS Ltd, said “I am delighted that TradePoint has further extended its range of exclusively Renault vehicles through BRS, making a total fleet holding of 52. BRS is very aware that the overall package we provide including vehicle reliability, efficiency and manoeuvrability are crucial to TradePoint’s business. With a small front overhang, a reduced turning circle and a compact cab, the Range Ds have been especially designed so they can deliver in to more difficult areas on site and it’s great to see that TradePoint is reaping the benefits of this new investment.”
TradePoint is the trade customer division of leading home improvement retailer, B&Q and is dedicated to the needs of the trade customer, offering a dedicated trade counter, trade brands at trade prices, 7 days a week. TradePoint sales are growing fast and the new vehicles extend the nationwide site drop service offered to its customer base.
