DAF dealership Chassis Cab has delivered 25 new trucks to Seven Lincs, the division of the Seven Asset Group which supplies a range of container transport and logistics services to the ever growing supply chain industry.
The order – valued at £2.3 million – for the DAF XF Euro 6 trucks was awarded as the result of a long term business relationship between Chassis Cab and Seven Lincs which has recently seen the supply of around 100 new DAF LF trucks a year. The customers of the business include shipping lines, trailer operators, retailers, manufacturers and other logistics companies.
Specialising in UK container haulage, Seven Lincs is based on a 2-acre site on the entrance to The Port of Felixstowe and has bases around the UK in order to serve other key ports and transport hubs. It helps to transport goods to all the major ports and cities in and around the UK and the rest of the world.
The company had one of the first DAF trucks with the latest technology Euro 6 engine in the UK and after operating it for a few months were so impressed with its fuel efficiency and reduced CO2 emissions that it placed an order for a further 25 trucks. Its container transport fleet includes over 100 44-tonne vehicles and 120 44-tonne slider trailers. Speaking about the latest order Seven Asset Management’s MD Tim Forman said: ‘These DAF trucks are partly for renewal and partly to cope with the expansion of business as we are finding that business has been particularly buoyant in recent months and we are seeing no signs of that changing into the future.’
‘The Euro 6 engine is at the forefront of new truck technology – for fuel efficiency and low emissions. It runs super-clean and so we are confident that we are buying the right trucks to minimise the environmental impact of our business.’
‘We are delighted by the quality of these trucks. They will ensure that our customers will be equally happy with the way they keep their products moving to where they need to be – when they need to be there.’
‘The Seven Group is a premium transport business with a UK-wide reputation for delivering quality’, added Chassis Cab Dealer Principal Robert Baxter, The business helps the supply chain sector with the movement of goods; and regularly purchases new trucks so customers can access the latest transport technology without directly having the capital outlay. These new generation trucks will more than exceed the expectations of these customers who are looking for greener, cleaner trucks backed by guaranteed service levels – whatever the scale or scope of the job.’
From a comprehensive UK wide network, Seven Asset Management supplies some of the largest manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, logistics and service supply companies operating within the UK. It provides everything from national multi depot fleets to single specialist vehicles.
