Goodyear Dunlop has introduced four new Dunlop TreadMax mold cure retreaded tyres to the market. The new company own processed retreads are in the Dunlop SP444, SP372 and SP472 lines and are developed according to the company’s ‘Multiple Life Cycle’ approach. This enables truck and bus operators to extend the life of their tyres and help reduce their Total Cost of Ownership, maximising their tyre investment.
TreadMax mold cure retreading is the premium retreading offer from Goodyear Dunlop. It uses only the latest generation of casings from the Goodyear and Dunlop product range, the same tread patterns and virtually identical tread compounds and materials to new tyres. Because of this TreadMax tyres have a performance that is very close to that of the respective original tyres. Now the tyre manufacturer extends its current line up with the Dunlop TreadMax SP444 in 315/60R22.5 and 295/60R22.5. The Dunlop SP444 is a drive tyre for both long and regional haul vehicles providing high mileage performance together with good wet braking, low fuel consumption and durability.
Also new on the market is the Dunlop TreadMax SP372 in size 275/70R22.5. The Dunlop SP372 is an all position tyre for municipal vehicles such as city buses and refuse vehicles. Exceptionally high mileage, a high level of traction and short stopping distances on wet roads are its benefits. Additionally, thanks to the featured reinforced sidewalls the SP372 has an enhanced durability and long service life.
The final member of the TreadMax line extension is the Dunlop TreadMax SP472 in 275/70R22.5. The Dunlop SP472 is an all-season drive tyre designed for buses, refuse vehicles, fire engines, street sweepers and other vehicles operating within the urban environment.
All premium mold cure TreadMax products are produced in-house by Goodyear Dunlop at its plants in Riom in France, Wittlich in Germany and Wolverhampton in the UK. To ensure high quality tyre performance, only the latest generation Goodyear and Dunlop casings are used for TreadMax mold cure retreads. Also the same tread designs and virtually identical materials to that utilised in the new tyres they replicate are used for TreadMax tyres. This results in premium products with performance that is very close to that of the respective new tyres, helping to reduce costs and lower cost of ownership throughout the products life cycle, for vehicle operators.
