Leading trailer company TIP Trailer Services has announced, with immediate effect, that UK Commercial Director Mike Furnival has been promoted to the new position of Managing Director for TIP in the UK and Ireland, whilst TIP’s European Marketing Director Karl Davies has now returned to the company’s UK and Ireland operation as its new Commercial Director.

With over 27 years’ experience in the commercial vehicle/trailer industry, Mike Furnival has been TIP’s Commercial Director for the past 8 years prior to his promotion, whilst Karl Davies, with over 21 years expertise in the transport industry, has also been with TIP for 8 years, latterly based out of TIP’s European Head Office in the role of European Marketing Director.

The changes to the management structure at TIP Trailer Services are designed to strengthen the UK and Ireland management team and facilitate the company’s planned growth over the forthcoming years. It is also part of a planned European-wide top level restructuring announced by TIP Europe recently.

Commenting on the organisational changes, Bob Fast CEO at TIP Europe said, “As a sign of our continued commitment to deliver a world-class service, we are pleased to announce that we are implementing a new regional management structure to bring our business closer to its customers. Each of our five business regions in Europe will be headed by a regional Managing Director.”

This development will enable us to bring our decision-making closer to our customers and result in increased speed in responding to customer requests.”
