FORS, the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme, has hosted its first FORS Members’ Conference. The event, which sold out within just a few weeks, welcomed over 350 professionals from across the transport industry.  Visitors heard from top experts such as Dr Jon Lamonte, chief executive officer, Transport for Greater Manchester; and Dr Shaun Helman, TRL, on how to manage work-related road risk.
“We are absolutely thrilled with the amount of support the event has had,” said John Hix, FORS Director. “It was fantastic to see so many FORS Members under one roof, all united with the aim of improving the logistics industry and implementing key changes into their fleets. Thank you to everyone involved, including all the speakers and exhibitors who came to share their insights, and of course to all the Members. We are glad it was such a productive day.”

The event was also an opportunity to celebrate key milestones in the scheme, including the 4000th accredited member Cargo Express, the 150th Gold member Lowery Ltd, the 500th Silver operator Neville Tilley Transport and the 500th individual to become a FORS Practitioner James Lewis from Brogan Group. Also in attendance was the first ever FORS Member PHS Group.
