    On 19 July 2016, the European Commission issued a record €2.9bn fine to five major truck manufacturers after it was found that they co-ordinated truck pricing and colluded on passing on the costs of compliance with emissions rules in the late 1990’s and early 2000’s. As a consequence of this, the Road Haulage Association has announced today that it will be progressing with its application to become the representative body on behalf of UK hauliers bringing collective proceedings to the Competition Appeal Tribunal (CAT) under the Consumer Rights Act
