Coolertech Ltd has confirmed that it will exhibit a trio of temperature controlled vehicles at the forthcoming TCS&D show in Peterborough.
The exhibition will provide the company with the opportunity to showcase a selection of its specialised insulated vehicles which range from small car-derived vans, through to 26 tonne rigids. Stand C1 will display three temperature-controlled vehicles from Coolertech’s exciting and innovative range, in the form of two insulated panel van conversions and one 3500kg insulated box body.
A Mercedes Sprinter MWB high roof van has been converted and insulated to frozen specification. This vehicle is a fine example of Coolertech’s range of van conversions and features some of the standard and optional items which are available. The design takes into account both thermal efficiency and practicality, without sacrificing aesthetics. Items, such as the low temperature side door – which offers both pallet and personal access, whilst still allowing the door to give a full wrap-around opening – illustrate perfectly the company’s design expertise. Other optional equipment fitted includes stainless steel load retention track, stainless steel door threshold plates and alloy floor strips to ease pallet loading whilst minimising floor wear.
The smaller end of Coolertech’s range of vehicles is represented by a new Mercedes Citan refrigerated panel van. The chilled conversion consists of a three-element panel kit with 50mm insulation. The original factory side and rear doors are insulated and the inner faces lined in a hygienic, easy to clean skin which is removable, where necessary, so as not to restrict access to the door opening mechanism.
The third insulated product on show is a Mercedes Sprinter MWB 3.5m box body which has been built for a variable-temperature, rental type operation. Constructed utilising five-element panels, this body features full aperture, double rear doors with lockable push type handles, complete with internal release for safety, and a double folding rear step with non-slip surface. A single 700mm wide side door and lightweight stirrup step for personal access to the front of the vehicle is also featured. When open, all doors are secured by T-type retainers, and body damage is minimised by alloy protection plates. The body’s interior features two highly efficient 30 LED lights.
All three vehicles have been European type approved and were designed and manufactured at Coolertech’s UK technology and production facilities.
