Palletways has been shortlisted for four categories in the Global Freight Awards – major accolades that reward best practice in freight and logistics and seeks to help improve industry standards.

Following on from their recognition as the ‘Best Place to Work’ at this year’s Express & Star Business Awards, Palletways have been shortlisted at the Global Freight Awards as ‘Employer of the Year’ for their outstanding commitment to professional and personal development and corporate social awareness.

Palletways, which handles nearly 30,000 pallets per day, has also been acknowledged for its excellence in innovation, having been nominated for both the ‘Innovation Award – new process’ and ‘Innovation Award – new product’. These are for their Palletways Operations in Real Time (PORT) system, which allows the company and customers to track their consignment at every stage in real time, from collection to delivery, and the Palletways Archway Scanning System (PASS), which captures photographic data of every shipment and has been fundamental in improving efficiency, minimising damage and increasing transparency.

In addition, the Global Freight Awards have shortlisted Palletways Europe for their ‘Road Freight Award’, for their international services, based on the quality of their customer service, environmental consciousness and business development.
