Palletforce founder member RCS Logistics has made a major investment in its fleet as it celebrates its 40th year in business.
The firm, based in Corby, Northamptonshire, added 14 new single-deck SDC trailers to its fleet in May, just a few months after investing in six new Mercedes Sprinter vans.
These additions take the fleet size up to more than 60 vehicles.
“RCS is committed to ensuring its fleet remain current and cost effective to operate and the new trailers will be a welcomed addition to the fleet,” said Steve Gray, Managing Director.
“Each of these new trailers has been designed and manufactured using cutting edge technology and helps to maintain our reputation as a high quality, professional company.”
RCS Logistics was set up in 1973 to deliver sacks of coal around the local area.
Over the years it has continued to expand, including becoming a founder member of Palletforce, the UK’s leading palletised distribution network, in 2001.
It now employs 115 people and works with leading household names including Bissell and Sistema.
“It is fantastic to see that in its 40th year RCS Logistics is still driving forward with investments into the business to ensure it always delivers exemplary service,” said Michael Conroy, Chief Executive of Palletforce.
